The 2009 BMW Z4 is all new, featuring for the first time a 2-piece, power-operated aluminum hardtop that stows in the trunk. The new Z4 sDrive30i is powered by a 255-horsepower 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine and the sDrive35i is powered by a 300-horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder. Both engines are mated with a standard 6-speed manual transmission. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission is optional for the sDrive35i and a 6-speed automatic is available for the sDrive30i, both with manual shift modes.
